Footprints from the Bible are the Bestselling Books
of historical fiction, by Cynthia Davis, set in the Old Testament.
The stories bring our
Biblical ancestors to life and makes the Bible relevant to modern
readers. These carefully researched novels will delight and inspire you!
You will experience Bible times, places, and events with women and men
who are examples of faith, like Leah, Miriam, Rahab, Joseph, Naomi, and
Abigail. If you like romance, adventure, and history these novels are for
you.
Cynthia Davis
started reading and telling stories almost before she could walk. Her favorite memories include curling up in her father's lap for bedtime stories.
She
is the best selling author of
Rahab's Redemption--winner of the
Best Other Fiction award at the NM Book Awards on November 9, 2007, and
five other titles! She is also in demand as a speaker for retreats and
other events on topics related to research done for her books. Follow
the link below to start one of the studies currently available on-line.
Her monthly newsletter provides thoughtful inspiration and a fun
'Biblical' recipe for interested readers.
"In Kindergarten, I was devastated because I did not learn to read the first day." Cynthia smiles.
"I knew that the written word was the gateway to adventure. My writing gives you a chance to enter the greatest adventure of all--the Story of God's Love--the Bible. Everyone in the Bible lived with loves, hates and day-to-day difficulties, just like each of us. I believe the women of the Bible may have even more to teach us than their better known male counterparts. They experienced the Biblical events from a unique perspective. In my books, you will encounter their brokenness and healing as they struggle, like us, to live their faith."
She enjoys applying Bible truth to everyday life by
speaking to groups. Ms. Davis is currently on the staff of the
Cathedral Church of St. John. She is
a supporter of
WINGS Ministry focusing
on children with a family member who is incarcerated. Cynthia is also a member of the
New Mexico Book Coop.
Currently Cynthia is
working on compiling data for her upcoming book currently titled,
"From a
Grain of Mustard Seed, The Growth of the Cathedral Church of St. John".
Ms. Davis celebrated 30 years of marriage in December 2005. Check out the
horseshoe nail crosses, wood, and ceramic crafts
he creates. Ken & Cynthia are parents of three lovely and talented daughters and grandparents to seven grandchildren.

Books and Studies Read
Excerpts of Cynthia's books
Read excerpts of
From a Grain of Mustard Seed, scheduled
for January release.
Just released:
"Scars to
Stars", a study guide for use with It is I, Joseph
Studies
currently online are:
Where is God, based on Exodus and the book Miriam's Healing.
Now
available: New Edition of Miriam's Healing,
available from Cynthia Davis and lulu.com.
This study explores the eternal question of
Where God is when ‘bad things happen to good people’?
Miriam experienced the despair and fear of bondage in Egypt,
which led her to question her faith. Even during the Exodus, she
found it difficult to remember that God is in control. We too
often lose sight of the Holy One when life if difficult. This
study looks at how this woman of the Bible can help us find
answers to that question.
Meeting God on the Journey, based on Walk with Jesus VBS,
now for adult learners as well.
Travel
through Israel—Galilee and Judea as known by Jesus. The towns,
people, and events of the time impacted Jesus and his
followers. Learning about some of the places mentioned in the
Gospels, in light of the Gospel accounts, you will find your
faith enriched. By focusing on different aspects of Christ’s
pilgrimage through Israel, you will draw closer to God in your
own journey.
