Cynthia Davis started reading and telling stories almost before she could walk. Her favorite memories include curling up in her father's lap for bedtime stories. She is the best selling author of Rahab's Redemption--winner of the Best Other Fiction award at the NM Book Awards on November 9, 2007, and five other titles! She is also in demand as a speaker for retreats and other events on topics related to research done for her books. Follow the link below to start one of the studies currently available on-line. Her monthly newsletter provides thoughtful inspiration and a fun 'Biblical' recipe for interested readers.

"In Kindergarten, I was devastated because I did not learn to read the first day." Cynthia smiles. "I knew that the written word was the gateway to adventure. My writing gives you a chance to enter the greatest adventure of all--the Story of God's Love--the Bible. Everyone in the Bible lived with loves, hates and day-to-day difficulties, just like each of us. I believe the women of the Bible may have even more to teach us than their better known male counterparts. They experienced the Biblical events from a unique perspective. In my books, you will encounter their brokenness and healing as they struggle, like us, to live their faith."

"Applying Bible truth to everyday life, is one of my joys. One way I do this is through retreats and speaking engagements." Ms. Davis is currently on the staff of the Cathedral Church of St. John. She is a supporter of WINGS Ministry focusing on children with a family member who is incarcerated. Cynthia is also a member of the New Mexico Book Coop.

Ms. Davis has been married for over 30 years to Ken. Check out the horseshoe nail crosses, wood, and ceramic crafts he creates. Ken & Cynthia are parents of three lovely and talented daughters and grandparents to seven grandchildren.

The journey from Sunday School teacher to published author is an amazing testimony to the Grace and Call of God," states Cynthia. “I had no idea that I was setting out on an unexpected journey of self-discovery that has stretched my faith and taught me that truly God is ‘in the details’.“

If you would like to invite Cynthia to speak on any of these topics, email her.
